New Year, New Me

2023 is going to be a big year for Postmugglism; with more magic, new content, and a lot of exciting developments in our grand adventure to build sanctuary in paradise. I have so much to share, in fact, that it won’t fit neatly in one announcement. So this is an announcement about all the other announcements that are coming this week…

…but first, an explanation:

I was much quieter in 2022 than I’d originally intended, despite putting out some of my favorite blog posts and the monthly lunar mansion guides, because I had planned to release much more. For various reasons, things kept stretching out, taking longer than anticipated, and were even reset completely a number of times.

In fact, I was ready to unveil a bunch of new content in November of last year (2022) but most of my hardware, and all of the content I’d created, died horribly in an eclipse-related accident only a day or two before I was planning to launch. I took it as a message from the universe that I was on the wrong track, doubled back, and started over from scratch (with the benefit of divine inspiration).

Coming out of that fiasco, I’d like to think I have a much better plan, better content, and I’m once again ready to launch. But there’s a lot going on in my life right now and I have a lot more to share than just new content.

We’ve officially started construction of our home / homestead and spiritual sanctuary in the Mayan jungle -and along with it, we’ve launched a new brand for the business end of our adventure in paradise, The Sacred Serpent.

For the moment, The Sacred Serpent includes my shamanic healing practice, and my wife Sarah’s line of magical goods including astrological talismanic jewelry, oils, candles, and other materia. As part of our construction project in the jungle though, we’re also building a physical location for The Sacred Serpent -a spiritual healing center in the magical Yucatán jungle.

I’ve told bits and pieces of this story in various places but it’s time to give the full backstory and provide regular updates on our project as we make progress on construction and developing the property, so I have more to share about all of that as well.

Since this is a lot to absorb all at once, I’m going to make it a little easier to digest by breaking it up into a series of announcement posts / emails that you’ll receive over the next few days; one post per day.

The purpose of this email is just to say, “Happy New Year!”, to let you know that you can expect A LOT more from me in 2023, and to expect these (very exciting) announcements over the next few days:

A NEW BUSINESS: The first email will share the story, the vision, and the future of our new magical business, The Sacred Serpent, -plus, how to work with me as a shamanic energy healer and/or order magical materia from Sarah.
A NEW PODCAST: I’ve finally jumped on the bandwagon. The second email will give you all the deets on my new weekly show about magic in “modern” times, The Postmugglism Podcast.
EXPANDED YOUTUBE CHANNEL: In addition to the monthly lunar mansion guide and weekly podcast, I’ll also be producing other videos about practical magic. The third email will explain what’s new and what’s coming soon on my YouTube channel.
UPDATES TO BLOG AND SUBSTACK: Finally, the fourth email will explain what you can expect from my website, Substack / email list, and how the blog content is changing to give each format (audio, video, and blog) unique appeal.

These will be quick posts, easy to read, and will include links so you can easily sign up for the stuff that piques your interest. There may be some crossover but each of these channels is designed to provide original content and a unique value, hence why it’s worth sending you an email to explain what you get with each.

2022 was a year of personal growth where I worked on my projects quietly and in secret. In 2023, I’m going to be much louder. You’re going to hear from me a lot more and on many more (hopefully) interesting and useful topics.
